SUBJECT: New Policy on TLC Program's Enrollment of Dependent

Please take note of the following information:

A new policy for the TLC program's dependent enrollment will be implemented at Virtual Freelancer Asia starting October 4, 2024. This policy aims to ensure the timely enrollment of eligible dependents and expedite the process for availing of the TLC benefit.

On your anniversary date, HR specialists will contact you via Slack to enroll either yourself or your dependents and remind you of the needed requirements. It is mandatory to enroll either yourself or your dependent on your anniversary date.

Failure to enroll your dependent will result in the forfeiture of your eligibility for the TLC program for that year. In such a case, you must wait until your next anniversary date to enroll again. You can access your VFA portal under Healthcare Assistance to view the enrollment hierarchy for dependents, fill out the form, and upload the necessary documents.

SUBJECT: Updated Government Clearance is now required for ICA Renewal

Please take note of the following information:

A new policy for the Independent Contractor Agreement Renewal be implemented at Virtual Freelancer Asia starting October 4, 2024. This policy is designed to ensure that independent contractors are law-abiding citizens of the Philippines and to uphold safety standards for both the client and the company.

Upon the commencement of the Independent Contractor Agreement renewal process, the independent contractor is required to submit an updated government clearance, such as the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) clearance or Police clearance, prior to signing the Individual Contract Agreement (ICA). The updated government clearance is necessary to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and to verify the individual's eligibility to continue their engagement. Failure to provide the updated government clearance within the stipulated timeframe will result in the individual being unable to sign the agreement, thereby necessitating further review and potential delays in the renewal process.
